Description
Mancos State Park encompasses 338 acres surrounding Jackson Gulch Dam and Reservoir. The reservoir is the recreation focus of the park. It is comprised of 216 surface acres. Because it lies at 7,800 feet Mancos Lake is considered an alpine lake. Facilities at the park include two campgrounds. On the southern shore you'll find a 24-site campground with tables, grills, vault toilets and water hydrants. Volleyball and horseshoe facilities are located in this area and open to visitors. A dump station exists at the entrance to this site. A group picnic ground, boat ramp and ranger station are also located in this area.
