Description
Located on 72,000-acre Clarks Hill Lake near Augusta, this park is known as one of the finest bass fishing spots in the nation. During the summer, guests can cool down at the beach or on miles of shaded nature trails. Canoes and fishing boats are available for rent, and a wildlife observation area is available. The park has 10 fully equipped cottages on the lake, five of which are log cabins. The campground is situated on a peninsula, offering spectacular views of both sunset and sunrise over the open water. A one-room camper cabin faces the lake, offering a porch with rocking chairs, electricity, four bed platforms, a grill, picnic table and water spigot.

Super place to stay. The park staff is the best I have had to deal with in all the years of camping. The place is clean and beautiful. Mistletoe is a camp ground for all folks. You will enjoy your stay. too maney things to see and do. From the park you can take a ride all the way around the lake and be on back roads of Georgia and South Carolina all the way. Good eating places with in 25 miles most any direction. About the same distance to the cities of Augusta and Thompson (25 mi). Mistletoe is a place for rest or hiking or meeting some really nice folks. Best sun rise and sunset photographs in the state. I like to camp onthe point with nothing in front of me but lake.
