Description
Founded in 1969 and encompassing 85 acres, Walker Island is unique among campgrounds. With two islands formed by Walker Brook, and an old granite railroad, all connected by two covered bridges in the foothills of the Berkshires, Walker Island creates a camping experience like no other. On the main island are full hookup sites, our building with store, office, laundry, rec. hall and propane pump station as well as our pool. On the smaller island is the playground with swings, small mini golf, shuffle board, bocci and horseshoe pits. Remnants of the old railroad can still be seen as you make your way to our secluded tent sites on the hill or beside the brook.
